I mean, really, I can't believe Nathan and I are getting paid for what we do. To be apart of God's plan, and spend time with the youth at Calvary First Assembly. There are times where I'm like, "come on guys, behave", but then there are times where they have me completely flabbergasted. I guess it would be hard to understand my overwhelming joy for those who are not committed to a church, or to God himself. But I know that I am apart of God's plan, and I know that the position He's placed Nathan & myself in, is right were He wants us to be. The Lord has taken not only our youth group, but the youth of the nations and has called them to RISE UP!! And take this Nation by Storm!! I'm so Blessed that I'm able to watch the teens in our youth make confirmation to God's word!! The fire that has been ignited in them is so evident to their friends, that they're friends are now coming before God asking Him into their lives!! Our kids have really stepped up to the plate to prove that God is their LIFE! I know that the teens are now facing new challenges than I did in high school, and even those before me. The fact that they are dealing with things, and people, that are living completely for themselves, and have made their own religious views, but I've seen in our kids that they will not stand to be apart of the world, but to be apart of God's. And they will proudly proclaim it. These teens are MARKED by God, to be a representative for GOD on this earth. I'm so proud to be apart of their lives, and watch as they grow in God. World beware, for there are strong willed, gospel teaching, spirit filled youth coming your way!! Praise God!!!

"Let me win, but if I cannot win, let me brave in the attempt"

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ciuQPAgGW0A/SZJxR3OWrdI/AAAAAAAAATQ/7os1_qq3eow/s320/0209091945.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5301424263064366546" />

I remember saying that quote in High School, when I participated in BSOPPS (Burley Special Olympics Partners Program). Seeing that it's been 5 years out of high school, I was just itching to help out when I heard that the World Games were coming to our little Boise!! I had the opportunity to volunteer with my work, St. Lukes Regional Medical Center, as part of the Medical Team. I will never forget my experience in volunteering with them!! Not only was I able to work closely with RN's, and MD's in caring for the sick and the injured, but I was able to meet some amazing people from all over the world! I would highly suggest that if you are in the Boise are this week, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go, and show your support. The athletes surely do appreciate all the support they get from us!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ciuQPAgGW0A/SZJxmYvEm8I/AAAAAAAAATo/JI4RJ3HXe6c/s320/0210092200.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5301424615657348034" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ciuQPAgGW0A/SZJxmV0Ck0I/AAAAAAAAATg/J-3Qg0Xx6zc/s320/0210092134.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5301424614872879938" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ciuQPAgGW0A/SZJxmQzbWQI/AAAAAAAAATY/5ks2zpecPgc/s320/0210091759.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5301424613528131842" />

My oldest brother, Damian, has started his 3rd tour in Iraq. I knew the day would come and pass, and even knowing that, I knew that I would think of him and pray for him, and go on with my life. How foolish of I! I've never been to an actual homecoming, or going away of any soldier, so I never knew how heart wrenching, those could be. My aunt was fortunate to see him off, and posted these pictures. I must say, I cried for a good hour or so. To see my brother giving his wife one last hug and one last kiss, with tears running down both of their faces. And knowing my brother, trying to be strong for his family, not letting them see him cry. But I know him to well, I recognize his face after tears have been shed. Oh... I don't know how they do it. But I know that they are strong, stronger than I am, and they'll get through it.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ciuQPAgGW0A/SUiHARaUObI/AAAAAAAAAQI/MLtJ9KoGs0I/s320/l_8515347998df4b6bb96eb870fd533e0d.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5280619001835436466" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ciuQPAgGW0A/SUiHAke_XtI/AAAAAAAAAQY/qloWVTMUuaI/s320/l_de2e6e502d77493ab23065dfbea741ad.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5280619006955314898" />

I'm so very proud of my brother, and proud of all the American soldiers. Maybe this time it's different, because I have a different feeling with him leaving on this tour, or maybe it's because I've matured. Whatever it may be, I will let my brother, my soldier, my friend know that I love him, and am so proud of him. And I will not just pray for him, a prayer of safety and protection over his life, but for strength and endurance for his wife as well. I will not worry over these two, but will instead leave the worries at the feet of my Lord and Savior, whom I know will watch over them carefully. It always means we get to see some familiar faces. Our youth group hit off right away with Burley Christian Center's youth group during camp in July. Ever since then, they have been myspace-ing each other, and keeping in touch. We had our Youth Convention this month, and we were all so excited to see Burley. Since Nate and I are from there, we love the fact that our youth group gets along really well with Burley. I love that I get to see some old friends. Norma, Machie, and Celeste. And not to mention the many others that adore her. Nate and I raced over to their church, after we left our church early, going about 80 mph on the connector. We made it just in time though. I am so blessed that I get to watch my little niece learn about our awesome Savior, and am excited to share some awesome bible stories with her too. Good thing I had so much experience, from my cousins, on babysitting:) She loved it when i was playing patty cake with her, she would just start smiling, and smiling. She also loved it when I sang her.."How much is that doggie in the window." Kudos to grandpa for teaching me that song to pass on. We had so much fun with her, but it was also a little taste of birth control for Nate and I ;)

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ciuQPAgGW0A/SHWIPEZ7vZI/AAAAAAAAAJA/jTcyb9Y_asM/s320/IMG_1645_2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5221229135467888018" />

Nate and I have been married for 2 years as of July 8th. Crazy how these past two years just flew right by us. But I wouldn't trade a minute of it either. We've laughed, we've cried, we've been "Upset" not MAD but "Upset"..hehe. And that' s only within 2 years! I know there is so much more that I have to look forward to in this marriage, such as becoming parents, becoming successful with our careers, and just growing old together. Now comes the question of how we celebrated....well, we celebrated by towing BOTH of our cars out to Kuna, to get a diagnosis that my little Nissan Maxima is completely shot. Not fixable, completely junk yard appropriate, and Nate's little S-10 needs an 850 dollar fix to it. We were really, really bummed that we now only have one decent working car, that's not even running now. So we both decided Friday would be our worry free day, we'd celebrate our 2 years then. And since our car incident, Nate keeps telling me "I'll get you a working car for our anniversary". I love him..he's always trying his hardest to pull the great out of every bad situations. So the bright side of this situation is that I'll get a new car, only it won't be exactly new. But it'll be a running car :)

<img style="display:block; It was such a blast, and we had our van packed. We're making it a tradition to have a bon fire every year, so far it's been so much fun!! We're getting ready to take the kids to Youth Camp at ISU in July. The kids were bored with the 50 Min. Car drive on sunday, little do they know, it's a 4 Hour drive to Camp.... I'm sure things are going to be a little interesting on that car ride....

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ciuQPAgGW0A/SGHRar56xhI/AAAAAAAAAG0/kRPDeu4llAs/s320/100_0099+1.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5215680099864200722" />

These boys are NOT very photogenic!

You Are Ariel!

Headstrong and fiesty. What a waiting game huh?! Although it seemed like forever, she finally braced us with her presence and she is so beautiful. This is Nate and mine's first niece. My brother has a son in Houston, Texas. Unfortunately I have only seen pictures. I hope soon, I'll be able to meet him, and play with him. Having our niece come made it seem more of a reality that I am an Aunt. I'm excited for what the future holds, and watching these kiddos grow up:)

Papi

Here is photo from Braeden's photo shoot. He loves his Lala-he is the one who named he Lala. Braeden had to have Lala around him at all times when he was little, he would stay the night at grandma's house every chance he got and then wait up on the couch (or try to) until Alex would come home so he could go sleep with her! He was soooo upset when she got married, during the rehearsal dinner he looked like someone was stealing his favorite toy from him, the day of the wedding he barely talked, it was so sad. I think he has since realized just because Alex is marriend doesn't mean she is not his Lala! Alex makes it a point to call Papi and when she comes to town she visits with him and goes to his games! Geez, watch out when you have kids!!:)
