We are chosen, or marked !!

I admit it...I have the BEST Job in the world!! I mean, really, I can't believe Nathan and I are getting paid for what we do. To be apart of God's plan, and spend time with the youth at Calvary First Assembly. There are times where I'm like, "come on guys, behave", but then there are times where they have me completely flabbergasted. I guess it would be hard to understand my overwhelming joy for those who are not committed to a church, or to God himself. But I know that I am apart of God's plan, and I know that the position He's placed Nathan & myself in, is right were He wants us to be. The Lord has taken not only our youth group, but the youth of the nations and has called them to RISE UP!! And take this Nation by Storm!! I'm so Blessed that I'm able to watch the teens in our youth make confirmation to God's word!! The fire that has been ignited in them is so evident to their friends, that they're friends are now coming before God asking Him into their lives!! Our kids have really stepped up to the plate to prove that God is their LIFE! I know that the teens are now facing new challenges than I did in high school, and even those before me. The fact that they are dealing with things, and people, that are living completely for themselves, and have made their own religious views, but I've seen in our kids that they will not stand to be apart of the world, but to be apart of God's. And they will proudly proclaim it. These teens are MARKED by God, to be a representative for GOD on this earth. I'm so proud to be apart of their lives, and watch as they grow in God. World beware, for there are strong willed, gospel teaching, spirit filled youth coming your way!! Praise God!!!

"Let me win, but if I cannot win, let me brave in the attempt"

I remember saying that quote in High School, when I participated in BSOPPS (Burley Special Olympics Partners Program). Seeing that it's been 5 years out of high school, I was just itching to help out when I heard that the World Games were coming to our little Boise!! I had the opportunity to volunteer with my work, St. Lukes Regional Medical Center, as part of the Medical Team. I will never forget my experience in volunteering with them!! Not only was I able to work closely with RN's, and MD's in caring for the sick and the injured, but I was able to meet some amazing people from all over the world! I would highly suggest that if you are in the Boise are this week, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go, and show your support. The athletes surely do appreciate all the support they get from us!!

My oldest brother, Damian, has started his 3rd tour in Iraq. I knew the day would come and pass, and even knowing that, I knew that I would think of him and pray for him, and go on with my life. How foolish of I! I've never been to an actual homecoming, or going away of any soldier, so I never knew how heart wrenching, those could be. My aunt was fortunate to see him off, and posted these pictures. I must say, I cried for a good hour or so. To see my brother giving his wife one last hug and one last kiss, with tears running down both of their faces. And knowing my brother, trying to be strong for his family, not letting them see him cry. But I know him to well, I recognize his face after tears have been shed. Oh... I don't know how they do it. But I know that they are strong, stronger than I am, and they'll get through it.

I'm so very proud of my brother, and proud of all the American soldiers. To forfeit their freedom, freedom of endless hugs and endless kisses, so we as everyday americans can enjoy it.

I say How foolish of I, because I know, in the past, it really hasn't been a big deal. Maybe this time it's different, because I have a different feeling with him leaving on this tour, or maybe it's because I've matured. Whatever it may be, I will let my brother, my soldier, my friend know that I love him, and am so proud of him. And I will not just pray for him, a prayer of safety and protection over his life, but for strength and endurance for his wife as well. I will not worry over these two, but will instead leave the worries at the feet of my Lord and Savior, whom I know will watch over them carefully. I WILL HOLD ON TO GOD!

Being Busy!

Nate and I had a busy last week. We started off with the BSU game. No matter how busy our schedule is, we will ALWAYS make time for our broncos!! We ride our bike to the stadium and sitting in the student section....well enough said eh?! It is always fun though, all the fans are awesome, and it's such a great experience to be with the fellow broncos and enjoying our winning streak!! :D.

After that we threw a 30th anniversary for Nate's parents. What an amazing blessing, 30 years, seeing your 2 kids grown up, starting families of their own...Let's just say it was a slight emotional night...but a great one.

.

What seems like a short, but was indeed a very LOOONNGG weekend, life picks up again, ad back to work we go. One of the Hospice social workers received Christmas hats from a volunteer. She had no use for them so she distributed them to the admin staff. Here I am being goofy with the Hospice secretary and the a Hospice RN. Oh what good times in The Office:D

The Youth Life

I love it when our Assembly of God church's meet for either camp, convention, or whatever. It always means we get to see some familiar faces. Our youth group hit off right away with Burley Christian Center's youth group during camp in July. Ever since then, they have been myspace-ing each other, and keeping in touch. We had our Youth Convention this month, and we were all so excited to see Burley. Since Nate and I are from there, we love the fact that our youth group gets along really well with Burley. I love that I get to see some old friends. Norma, Machie, and Celeste. Awesome women of God, and amazing friends to have!!

I just can't get enough of this little girl!! Sunday was her dedication at The Gathering. Both grandma and grandpa's were present, as well as both aunts and uncles, and a couple of Aubree's cousins. And not to mention the many others that adore her. Nate and I raced over to their church, after we left our church early, going about 80 mph on the connector. We made it just in time though. I am so blessed that I get to watch my little niece learn about our awesome Savior, and am excited to share some awesome bible stories with her too. She recieved her first "Jesus Story" bible on sunday.
